Welcome to First 5 Alabama's Endorsement application system! Be sure to check here often for updates!
Our Endorsement renewal period is quickly approaching! First 5 Alabama's annual Endorsement renewal period runs from November 1st - December 31st each year. If you earned your Endorsement before 2023, you will need to renew your Endorsement to maintain your credential.
Here are a few things you can do to ensure you are ready to renew:
1. TRAINING: Have you attended at least 15 hours of IECMH-related training during the 2023 calendar year?
If you need training hours, there is still time! Check our Training Calendar at First5Alabama.org for our upcoming trainings.
2. REFLECTIVE SUPERVISION *This requirement applies to IFS, ECFS, IFRS, ECFRS, IMHS, ECMHS, IMHM-C, and ECMHM-C endorsees only*: Have you received at least 12 hours of reflective supervision with a qualified provider during the 2023 calendar year?
Contact your reflective supervisor to verify how many hours you currently have and to develop a plan for ensuring you reach the 12 hours needed to renew.

You are joining an international group of professionals who have chosen to earn the Endorsement credential as a way to demonstrate specialization in the infant-early childhood mental health field. Endorsement was developed by the Michigan Association for Infant Mental Health in 2002 and is now used by 37 state IMH associations and 3 international associations. Each of those associations is a member of the Alliance for the Advancement of Infant Mental Health.
Through the Alliance, this means that your Endorsement is recognized in each of those 40 associations.
